The hospital has regular medical officers who attend both the inpatients and outpatients round the clock.It has eminent consultants in General Medicine, General Surgery, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic Surgery and Pediatrics.Consultants visit hospital regularly and on request they are on service during emergencies.

This hospital collects only minimal registration fees from the outpatients and give full consultation excepting in cases where consultation is required by visiting specialists.Medicines are dispensed at cost and injections are administered free of charges.Incase of outpatients,depending on their status, either entire treatment including cost of medicine is free or it charges a nominal amount just to meet the cost of medicines,surgeon's fee and establishment expenditure.

This hospital has another wing at Tirunagar,Madurai by name SITALAKSHMI MATERNITY HOME which renders yeomen services to the women folks in the rural area.

The whole functions of these two hospital are being monitored by the Trustees of Sitalakshmi Charities which run these charitable institutions.
